Italo Train Routes: An Extensive and Ever-Expanding Network

Since 2006, Italo’s commitment to ensuring more high-speed connections in Italy has been unwavering. The expansive network of Italo trains, which connects some of the most beautiful regions of Italy with high-speed convenience, makes Italo a great choice for both tourists and Italians alike.

For those looking to experience Italy’s iconic cities, Italo’s renowned Milan-Rome express service remains a favorite among locals and tourists, boasting 32 daily trips. That is one of dozens of connections on the Italo train network linking world-famous destinations like Rome, Bologna, Venice and Milan. Moreover, if you're looking to explore the stunning Adriatic coast, you’re in luck: Italo has recently added new stops at Forlì, Cesena, Pesaro, Riccione, and Rimini. Also added to the network are Bari, Foggia, Barletta, Trani, Bisceglie, and Molfetta.

Traveling from the snow-capped peaks of the North to the sunny shores of the South? Embark on the Turin-Milan-Naples route, with up to 20 daily trips to choose from. The network also offers daily trains connecting Genoa, Milan, Naples, and Rome.

Winter wanderlust? As the chill sets in, Italo increases train service to Southern Italy. Italo offers up to 6 daily departures to Puglia and Calabria in the winter months, and with up to 30 daily stops at the Naples Afragola station, getting that little boost of vitamin D becomes a breeze. If you happen to like the cold, then you should stay in the north and discover the northern charm of cities like Udine, Treviso, Conegliano, and Pordenone.

For those who want to visit the enchanting seaside town of Reggio Calabria (at the very tip of Italy’s “Boot”) a high-speed Italo train can get you there from Rome in under 6 hours, or from Milan in less than 10—a truly impressive feat. And if you're yearning to visit Italian gems like Florence, Bologna, Milan, or the scenic Trieste, Italo offers flexible schedules on high-speed tracks. With several stops along the way, travelers can also discover lesser-known spots off the beaten path—the perfect starting point for an unforgettable Italian vacation.

Planning Your Italian Adventure with Italo? Browse the comprehensive Italo train schedules, uncover exclusive offers, and select the perfect travel itinerary to match your wanderlust. Safe travels!
