We started at the harbour in Naples, directly at the Molo Beverello. Boarding was straightforward, but you really should be there on time - the ferry doesn't wait, and when it's busy, things move quickly. The crew was friendly and efficient, no long announcements, just get on board and drive off. As soon as we set off, it was clear: this is no ordinary transport - this is sightseeing with a sea breeze. The view of Mount Vesuvius, Capri in the distance, the rugged coast of Campania - simply marvellous. I sat outside on the upper deck, sun on my face, wind in my hair - there's hardly a better way to start the day. The catamaran itself was modern, clean and relatively quiet, even if it did shake a little when the waves were rough. The seating inside is okay, but of course nothing for chilling out for hours - sitting outside is clearly the better place, so get there early enough if you have a free choice of seats.
