The total journey covers 231 miles (370 kilometers) in just over 3.5 hours. Alternatively, the Amtrak Northeast Regional runs the same route in slightly more time but with lower prices. Transportation experience
Both Boston and New York’s train stations are located right in the heart of their respective cities. In Boston, simply wait for your train’s departure to be announced, and then it’s just a short walk to the covered platforms. The Acela is designed to make the ride smooth and comfortable. Thanks to the free Wi-Fi that remained fairly reliable through the journey and great views, my trip flew by. You’ll see the Connecticut coastline from the left. Soon, we arrived at New York Penn Station, right by the Empire State Building and Times Square. If you’re looking for comfort and convenience, the Amtrak Acela train from Boston to New York is a clear winner.
